Diane Coyle

Diane Coyle is Bennett Professor of Public Policy at the University of Cambridge. She was previously Professor of Economics at the University of Manchester and founded the consultancy Enlightenment Economics. Her research includes economic measurement, and the economics of new technologies, markets and competition. Diane is a Fellow of the Office for National Statistics and has held a number of public service roles including Vice Chair of the BBC Trust, member of the Natural Capital Committee, the Migration Advisory Committee and the Competition Commission. Her books include GDP: A Brief but Affectionate History, and Markets, State and People: Economic for Public Policy. Diane was awarded the CBE for services to economics in 2018.
